The firm also had an integral role in the Supreme Court rulings in Santa Rosa Junior College v. WCAB (Smythe), Nicky Blair’s Restaurant v. WCAB (Macias), The Travelers Insurance Company v. We utilize technology to provide clients with timely, cost effective professional legal services. Because many of our clients require paperless communication, we have invested in applications and equipment in order to be on the “cutting edge” for these requirements. We were included in the initial selection of law firms to participate in the EAMS trials in 2008, which is a totally paperless environment with the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. Client Profiles, a case management application, is used by our attorneys and staff to record and monitor all activities on a case. A full history of each case handled, from inception to closure, is available for an immediate response to client inquiries whether the attorney is in the office or at a remote location.
Our cloud based case management and billing application, Meruscase, enables our attorneys to have case file information at their fingertips in a secure and HIPPA compliant manner. Our system complies with our clients’ electronic billing programs and integrates UTMBS code sets. LexisNexis CounselLink, Allegient Systems, Bottomline Technologies, Advocator System, LegalBill, Legal Precision are examples of currently implemented programs.
